Melanie Gulde, program director of the soon-to-open Divided Sky residential recovery retreat located in Ludlow, Vermont, drops by discuss her new approach to in-patient recovery treatment. The forthcoming passion project incorporates much of Allen’s conception of emotional sobriety, even some of his books, and integrates body-focused forms of treatment. She also describes a personal recovery that has evolved considerably over time, beginning in the 90’s and then revitalizing in the early aughts through confrontation with her unhealthy emotional dependencies.
