Let’s exercise more authority and agency over our lives. Moving towards a focus on being rather than having.
A bit of Buddhist wisdom: Be careful to not mistake the finger pointing at the moon for the moon itself.
A bit of Emotional Sobriety wisdom: Emotional sobriety are two words pointing towards the moon.
The philosophy, concepts and methodologies associated with Emotional Sobriety are tools prescribed for those of us who want to improve ourselves. It is a way forward, a way to explore ourselves more deeply, a way to evaluate our progress and a way to continue making progress.
What is not prescribed is who each of us is and what each of us wants. Never let someone else define those for you. The practice of emotional sobriety within a community is a collaborative and creative process.
It is back to the basics of the program: we can do this together, none of us can do it alone.
YOUR EMOTIONAL SOBRIETY BELONGS TO YOU.
